Wedding Magic Timings

The wedding meal (aka breakfast) is a key part of the day

Typically guests are gathered at tables of up to ten as course upon course of delicious food are brought to them. 

This is an ideal time for some wedding magic (specifically ‘table magic’.) In such a surrounding, I tailor my trickery to the whole table, performing a ten minute routine for all the guests. Involvement is key, and I ensure that everyone gets involved in the astonishment.

Such an act makes a great ice breaker, as often tables can contain a mixture of guests who perhaps don’t know each other.

I’ve become skilled at ‘dodging the food’, and can chase the courses around the room. Each table could look forward to up to three visits from me as they enjoy their meals. There is usually a gap between courses, and some table magic fills this beautifully.

The last thing you want on your big day is for your guests to get bored and restless. 

Wait. No, the last thing you want on your big day is to get jilted at the alter. Or have diarrhea. Or maybe a fire in the venue.

However, guests getting restless is probably high up on your list of things to avoid. Sometimes a wedding can be a long day. There is the ceremony, the photographs, the meal, the speeches and then later on an evening “do”. Sometimes, there can be a “lull” between the afternoon and the evening activities. It’s not unheard of for guests to head to their rooms at this point for a nap, or maybe to get changed into their party clothes. Or maybe they’ll hang around the bar for a while or stroll around the grounds of your venue.

One things for sure – having a close up magician around at this time will certainly avoid any restlessness. My “strolling magic” is perfect for going around small groups of people to keep them entertained and mystified. 

The “between events” magic package could easily be combined with another. For example, maybe you’d like the last hour of the meal and the hour straight after.
